The Northland District Health Board funds community pathology services under the following conditions
- The test requested is included in the Northland District Health Board Schedule of tests
- Where the patients meets the Ministry of Health eligibility criteria
- Where the test is requested for diagnostic purposes
Not all patients are eligible for Northland District Health Board funded laboratory tests. If the patient is not eligible then the patient will need to pay for the tests at the Collection Centre.
Non eligible tests includes but is not limited to;
- Wellness testing
- Screening tests
- Travel
- Pre employment
- Work related testing
- Immigration testing
